Group Exercise Classes

BHCC offers a wide of variety of group exercise classes, from low impact to salsa dancing, for the beginner to the advanced. No appointments are required. Just show up, sign-in and have a great time while getting and staying fit!
It is all included: Classes at BHCC are fun, easy, and convenient. Workout towels, mats, exercise bands, balls, and light weights are all provided for your convenience.

All classes are open to all levels and 1 hour long (unless otherwise noted). If new to a particular class, please inform instructor.

Group Fitness Studio


Belly Dancing -  
Core strengthening exercises enhanced with traditional rhythmic moves. An ancient art form updated to improve body alignment and cardio conditioning.  Enhances body awareness. Great for all levels.


Belly Funk -
 Tones, strengths and builds better posture along with shaping your abs.  It’s belly dancing moves to funky upbeat music.


Cardio Conditioning/Combo -
A mixed hi/low workout for experienced exercisers. This class challenges aerobic endurance with different levels of intensity and choreography.


Cardio Dance-  
Dance steps from the past and present are sequenced together for a truly awesome cardio workout.  Improve your cardio, strength your muscles, and enhance your coordination. This class is fun, challenging and open to everyone.  (no special shoes needed)


Low Impact-
A dynamic low impact choreography that improves cardiovascular endurance and teaches basic upper/lower body movements through a full range of motion.


Pilates Mat -
This class is designed to strengthen, lengthen and stretch the whole body in a workout that concentrates on correct biomechanics and form


PM Stretch-
This class incorporates the best of Pilates and stretch moves to help lengthen, stretch and strengthen the entire body.

 Strength Training  - Improve muscle endurance, gain muscle tone and improve flexibility while using the latest resistance equipment while moving to engery inducing music.


Stretch -
Morning stretch offers comprehensive flexibility training that increases your understanding of body posture and alignment. Techniques focus on flexibility, range of motion and relaxation.

 Stretch / Core / Balance -- Stretch for flexibility training - Core work for alignment and posture improvement - Balance for self assurance


Tai Chi -
Moving meditation for internal health, balance and flexibility.


TBC -
Total Body Conditioning  A challenging class that combines various forms of aerobic and athletic training, muscle strengthening and conditioning. Class may include step, athletic drills, hi impact, kickboxing, interval training, circuit training, weight training, core and abdominal training and much more. All classes vary per instructor. 


Yoga -
These classes introduce your body to a series of basic to advanced movements designed to enhance muscle development, flexibility, neuromuscular connectivity, and improve overall internal health. A continuous flow of movement, breath and energy will help to restore balance, release tension and daily stress and help to correct bad posture.

Hatha Yoga is the outline for all levels and styles  – the basis of which all disciplines derive from including: 

  • Core Yoga is for the beginner/intermediate student
  • Ashtanga Yoga is for the intermediate/advanced student
  • Yoga Therapy is for beginner/intermediate student
  • Vinyasa Yoga is a challenging workout for intermediate/advance students

Cycling - An intense workout on a stationary bike. Ride along with the music by combining cardiovascular endurance drills, rhythmic movements, and muscle conditioning. Or ride through the mountains by yourself, work as a team, go on a race. Class will differ per instructor but you are guarenteed to have a great workout. 

Pool

Aqua Aerobics - Aqua is a great cross-training endurance workout utilizing the natural resistance and buoyancy of water to challenge the body's cardiovascular and muscular system through shallow and deep water.

Masters - A challenging pool workout for any level of swimmer. Improve your stroke, cardiovascular endurance, speed, technique, and efficiency in the water through a variety of intervals and drills. Each practice will have a different focus, but each will give a great workout. ($ - Check with instructor for new prices - Charge only)

Kids Fitness (New)

KidsClub -
KidsClub is an organized kids fitness class held two days a week for kids ages 3 through 6 and another class for ages 7 through 14. On Tuesdays and Thursdays in the group fitness studio, they will be able to participate in activites that range from Hip Hop to Jazz to Sports Conditioning. On Saturdays, KidsClub offers two 30-minute karate classes. Please be sure your *FIT KID* comes prepared with: athletic shoes with white soles and comfortable athletic attire. Classes will vary by day and by trainer.  

Group Exercise Class Etiquette

  1. Classes are a group activity; please follow the instructor's routine for everyone's safety and enjoyment.

  2. Please be on time. The first few minutes of class are devoted to warming-up and preparing the body for physical activity, which prevents injuries.

  3. Please silence cell phones. Cell phone usage is not permitted in the work-out areas of the club.

  4. Please use lockers to store personal items. There is limited space in the group exercise studio.

  5. Keep conversation to a minimum while class is in progress.

  6. You and all guests must sign-in at the service center. This is a limited membership club.

  7. For everyone's comfort please be mindful of personal hygiene and do not wear strong perfume/cologne.

  8. Please wear approproate exercise attire and shoes.

  9. Do not enter the studio before the prior class has ended.

  10. Indoor cyclist, please wipe down your bike after each class. Wipe dispensers are in each work-out area.
